Student Work
These games were created during different courses in college. Multiple games were made a semester. Each game was made in a week or two with the exception of the RPG made in six weeks.
Golf Dice
|
Each player takes turns swinging a club (a die) trying to get their ball(score) into the hole(target number) first.
Assignment: Make a game using only dice(D6, D10) rolls. This game should be playable by all ages. Concept to Creation: 1 week 2011 Freshman project. |
Dawn of a Hero
|
You are an Amateur Hero. In an attempt to spread word of your greatness you travel to a town plagued by ruthless villains with bounties placed on them. If you can capture 3 bounties word of your greatness would spread! Alas, there is a second hero attempting the same feat!
Grab your weapons, defeat your enemies and capture the bounties to become a legend!! Assignment: Make a simple card game for two players. Aimed at audiences ages 10 and older. Concept to Creation: 2 weeks 2011 Freshman project. |
Vigilante

The city of CrimesVille needs a hero. Play as a Vigilante,traveling from district to district in CrimesVille. Compete with other vigilante's capturing heroes from each district in
CrimesVille. Once a villain has been captured from each district return to base as CrimesVille's newest hero! Assignment: Create a simple racetrack game aimed at younger audiences. Concept to Creation: 2 weeks 2011 Freshman project. |
Blood Disease

There is a war raging in the body. The body is being attackedby a flood of Virus. Will the champions of the body, the antibodies, defeat the Virus and keep the body healthy or will

Divorce Court

Your ex is filing for divorce on grounds that you are anadulterer. Tailed by private investigators, lawyers, and process servers you must work your way through the
courthouse to the judges chambers and present your case. Assignment: Make a simple shooter game using ranged attacks, melee attacks, and line of sight. Theme should be suitable for an E audience. Concept to Creation: 2 weeks 2011 Sophomore Project. |
Gorilla Warfare

Team Fortress 2 Conversion

A two player board game take on the Team Fortress 2 IP.
Assignment: Take the existing IP of Team Fortress 2 created by Valve and convert that experience into a board game. Concept to Creation: 3 Weeks 2011 Sophomore Project. This was done at DigiPen Institute of Technology with permission from Valve. |
Galactic Domination

Galactic Mining has been enacted to extract resources to sustain life on your
home planet. A mineral rich area of space consisting of 5 zones has been discovered, unfortunately an opposing force has also discovered this area. Secure the area as your own by destroying the opposing forces fleet. Assignment: Create a two player, territory control game using three to five unit types. Theme suitable for an E audience. Concept to Creation: 4 weeks 2011 Sophomore Project. |
Golden Frontiers

Golden Frontiers is a western themed role-playing game that is based around the American West around the year 1867.
Assignment: Create a Wild West themed Pen and Paper Role Playing Game. This game needs to be a fully functioning, historic based RPG set in the years 1867 - 1877. There cannot be any magic, monsters, or alternate(major) history. Concept to Creation: 7 weeks 2012 Sophomore Project. |
